Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Sponsors Operation Medicine Cabinet

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office recently announced its sponsorship of Operation Medicine Cabinet ™ (OMC). OMC provides citizens a venue to properly dispose of their expired and/or unused prescriptions anonymously at several different locations around Oakland County. Currently, there are nineteen OMC drop-off sites, including seven Sheriff’s Office locations in Brandon Township, Commerce Township, Highland Township, Independence Township, Orion Township, Pontiac, and Rochester Hills. Additionally, partner law enforcement agencies Beverly Hills Village Dept. of Public Safety, Birmingham PD, Clawson PD, Farmington Hills PD, Holly PD, Keego Harbor PD, Madison Heights PD, Rochester PD, Royal Oak PD, Southfield PD, Troy PD, and West Bloomfield PD, who all serve as OMC drop-off sites. They have been authorized by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to provide this service.
