HealthCall Awarded CHAP Accreditation

Royal Oak, Michigan – February 26, 2013 – Community Health Accreditation Program, Inc., (CHAP) announced today that HealthCall has been awarded CHAP accreditation under the CHAP Private Duty Standards of Excellence. This is the 7<sup>th</sup> consecutive year CHAP accreditation has been awarded to HealthCall.

CHAP_108x108CHAP accreditation demonstrates that HealthCall meets the industry’s highest nationally recognized standards. Rigorous evaluation by CHAP focuses on structure and function, quality of services and products, human and financial resources, and long term viability.

HealthCall provides a variety of Private Duty Nursing services to patients and their families throughout metro Detroit and the surrounding areas. HealthCall specializes in home health care treatment directed toward the unique needs of individuals requiring in-home care following a life-altering injury, including those with traumatic brain injuries and spinal cord injuries, as well as the unique medical needs of pediatric patients. HealthCall’s services include but are not limited to ventilator/tracheostomy management, wound care, PICC line management, including IV medication administration, and assistance with activities of daily living.

Through “deeming authority” granted by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), CHAP has the regulatory authority to survey agencies providing home health services to determine if they meet the Medicare Conditions of Participation and CMS Quality Standards.
