As a certified First Aid and Basic Life Support Instructor, Marcus Porter, RN, prepares healthcare professionals to perform first aid in both in- and out- of hospital and other clinical settings. He trains participants to promptly recognize cardiac arrest, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations, and provide early use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), as part of a team and individually. Mr. Porter also teaches students how to relieve choking and provide First Aid. The course includes adult, child, and infant rescue techniques.
Mr. Porter is a working Registered Nurse, and he joined HealthCall in October 2013. Outside of work, Marcus volunteers in Community Health Nursing for Clinton Street Church.
