Description:The Physician participates in the delivery of autism evaluation services within HealthCall’s Behavioral Services division. In collaboration with the Medical Director and diagnostic team, the Physician seeks to enable each client to attain or maintain the highest practical physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being. The Physician conducts ADOS or other criterion-based assessments to determine appropriate pediatric diagnosis, including but not limited to associated questionnaires, parent meetings / interviews, client observation and assessment, and delivery of findings. The Physician also administers the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (“ADI-R”). They collaborate with other departments, medical professionals, consultants, and organizations, including government agencies and advocacy groups, to develop, support, and coordinate client care and to represent the best interests of HealthCall and the people we serve.

This position reports to the Medical Director of HealthCall Behavioral Services.   

  • Location: HealthCall’s Royal Oak Clinic, 28000 Woodward Avenue, Royal Oak, Michigan
  • Schedule: Part-time position, 1 – 3 days per week. Work is available Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.  All diagnostic evaluations are conducted with clients / families face-to-face (no telehealth).
  • Compensation/Benefits: This is a part–time, hourly position. Medical, dental, and vision benefits available to staff members working thirty (30) hours per week or more. 401K plan available. Minimum Requirements/Skills: 

  • Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in clinical practice – experience in Psychiatry, Pediatrics, or Family Medicine preferred.
  • Valid State of Michigan medical licensure, unencumbered.
  • Valid State of Michigan driver’s license, current automobile insurance and means of transportation (where applicable).
  • Culturally sensitive to and inclusive of diverse staff and client populations.
  • Prior completion of ADOS-2 training (Modules 1 – 4 and toddler module) – Preferred.
  • Prior training and experience with diagnostic tools, including the M-CHAT, SCQ, ADI-R and ADOS-II – Preferred.
