(Royal Oak and Berkley, Michigan, August 9, 2022) – HealthCall of Detroit (“HealthCall”) has earned Three-Year Accreditation from CARF International (“CARF”) for Home and Community Services (Adults), Home and Community Services (Children and Adolescents), and Behavioral Consultation Services (Autism Spectrum Disorder – Children and Adolescents). This accreditation demonstrates continuous compliance with CARF’s performance and quality improvement standards. Furthermore, this Accreditation is a symbol of quality that reflects a health care organization’s commitment to providing safe and quality patient care.

HealthCall underwent a rigorous onsite review in June 2022. During the visit, a team of CARF reviewers evaluated compliance with CARF’s standards spanning several areas including but not limited to leadership, accessibility, advocacy for persons served, safety and emergency management, clinical environment, diversity and inclusion, and rights and responsibilities of the individual.

CARF’s standards are developed in consultation with health care experts and providers, measurement experts and patients. They are informed by scientific literature and expert consensus to help health care organizations measure, assess and improve performance. The surveyors also conducted onsite observations and interviews.

CARF is an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services, enhancing the lives of persons served worldwide. Accreditation signals to the public that the provider is committed to continuous performance improvement, responsive feedback, and accountability to the community and its other stakeholders.

In HealthCall’s most recent Accreditation Report the CARF surveyors state that HealthCall is “commended for how it has embraced diversity, equity, and inclusion” and “complimented for its exceptional attention to health and safety.” Furthermore, “[t]he organization’s clinical acumen and culture of collaboration, transparency, and employee engagement in the home and community services program is superlative.” CARF Survey No. 157517, June 2022.
